latest comment from il Bumbardun, 19/05/2024 20:56:Unfortunately health especially in a country with an ageing population costs a lot of money. It is however a social benefit which must be sustained whatever the cost. The time must come when the social contribution must increase to include a component for health and hospital services but fortunately for the moment the country is fortunately in a financial position to manage and bear such a big expense.

latest comment from il Bumbardun, 20/05/2024 07:28:I like the word rassa nies Unfortunately we elderly are becoming trapped in our homes. The pavements have been taken by commercial outlets. In residential areas pavements slope into car garages which not being level make it impossible for an elderly person to walk and keep his balance with the danger in some cases to tumbling into these slope . As for buses elderly can no longer use them as they have taken by TCNs who do not have the decency of giving up a seat even when reserved for the elderly. What is the use that in theory they are free if we elderly are not able to use them . Good that the number of zebra crossing and pedestrian lights have increased but unfortunately you risk your life with theinpatient young drivers .I. Feel that in modern Malta especially those without relatives is aavplace at Mgieret or ta Sawra.
