Bronnen

Vlees, gevogelte, vis, eieren, zuivel, peulvruchten, tarwekiemen

Tekenen van een mogelijk tekort

Angst, spierzwakte, vermoeidheid, duizeligheid, vertraagde groei, bloedarmoede

Indicaties

  • Herpes simplex infectie
  • Aften
  • Parasitaire infectie
  • Chronische stress, angst
  • Ondersteuning botopbouw, preventie osteoporose, versterking bindweefsel
  • IJzergebrek (waarbij ijzersuppletie onvoldoende resultaat heeft)
  • Gebrek aan eetlust

Contra-indicaties

  • Herpes simplex: preventie 0,5-1 gram/dag, behandeling 1,5-4 gram/dag
  • Angst/stress: 3 gram/dag (neem daarnaast ook 3 gram arginine per dag in)
  • IJzergebrek: 1,5-2 gram/dag (naast ijzersuppletie)
  • Verbeteren calciumopname: 0,5-1 gram/dag

Interactie

Veiligheid

FAQs

Is it okay to take L-Lysine every day? ›

When taken by mouth: Lysine is possibly safe for most people when taken in doses up to 3000 mg daily for up to one year. It can cause side effects such as stomach pain and diarrhea. When applied to the skin: Lysine is possibly safe for most people when used short-term.

Does L-Lysine burn belly fat? ›

Cortisol is produced in our body when we feel stressed; high cortisol levels result in weight gain in the abdominal area, typically called “belly fat.” Lysine has the power to block the cortisol hormone, effectively reducing this visceral fat.

Can too much L-Lysine be harmful? ›

While lysine in the diet is considered safe, excessive doses may cause gallstones. There have also been reports of renal dysfunction, including Fanconi syndrome and renal failure.
